1975 Honda CB360 Brat style - Growing Up

Hey all

I am having a really hard time sourcing a new headlight assembly. I am looking for either a 5 3/4 or 7" headlight assembly with a 35/35w bulb. I have been searching for a while now and can't seem to find anything. Dime city has a whack of headlights but they all seem to be 55/65w bulbs. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Got the head off today, in order to switch the valve springs around. Got a good look at the top of the pistons and the bottom of the valves. There is definitely a fair bit of carbon on both! What does everyone think?

Also, sorry for the sideways pictures. I turned my camera down to the lowest quality and they still turn sideways. What is the best way to go about cleaning the pistons and valves?

I would probably leave it alone and let it burn off.
If carb settings are right it will only take a couple of hundred miles to clean everything out

Your going t have valves out to switch springs. may as well fit new valve guide seals if you didn't already do it
Hit the valves up with a wire wheel and 'polish' the valve heads with some fine emery cloth.
I tend to knock off the sharp edges. No need for mirror finish (valves are forged/welded so it isn't really possible without removing more material than I like)
Tape stems if you put them in a drill chuck, the chuck jaws are generally harder than valve stem and will mark/damage them

Thanks Pj

I have valve guide seals on order. Waiting for them to arrive. I will go at the valves with a wire wheel. Thanks for the advice.
