first I am a newbie.
I bought a 1970 cl350. before tagging I decided to "work" on it.
I started by taking off generator and clutch covers. I cleaned up the stator and flywheel. then I checked out the clutch cable workings. did not pay enough...
told you i was a NEWBIE.[yes i yelled]
didn't know what i was seeing was a metal plate that comes out.

can anyone show me with pics how to get ring out? maybe i just don't know what i'm talking about. ha ha this from a newbie.
i can't get my pics to download.
i saw some snap rings that are supposed to work on ebay. i didn't see any holes for ring pliers to get into.
i've used ring pliers before...
as i said in the note. it doesn't have a snap ring or a groove for one in the lower fork.
both images at the bandit and my manual show one.
what now?

TRIED TO CHANGE OIL SEALS. MANUAL SAYS TO REMOVE 44MM CLIP RING TO GET TO BOTTOM END OF CUSHION. IT DOESN'T HAVE A RING OR A SLOT FOR IT TO GO INTO. THERE IS A SCREW ON THE BOTTOM BUT WHEN I LOOSENED IT NOTHING HAPPENED. TRIED TO SEND PICS BUT SOMETHING WON'T LET ME ON MY END.
