Looks really great! Do you have any issues with the clip-ons hitting the tank?

New CB750 Joker Machine Oil pressure gauge

All, I have a brand new Joker Machine Gauge for my CB750 that I'm no longer going to use. As you can see, the nut has never seen a socket and it's been sitting in that ziploc for a few months. I'll let it go for $60 plus shipping.

    My 1973 CB750

Haven't updated this since March! I guess it was a busy summer. Did lots of riding on the other bike and worked on both when I had time. Lots of updates. But to answer/solve the problem from my last post, it turns out that the flanges on the Mac 4-1 dont mount flush to the head like I had...

    1982 XJ750 Maxim Build

Back again. I've been spending most of my time on my CB, but I've taken care of some odds and ends. Got some new cables, fashioned up a rear fender/light/plate mount instead of the mount/light down at the axle. I also crudely polished the sides of the tank while leaving a strip of rust along...

    1973 CB750k quick wiring question

Hi everyone, It's time to get my CB up and running so that I can tune it and have it road ready in a month or two. Since I'll be riding my other bike mostly, I'm going to start with a minimum wiring diagram, and slowly add the blinker/horn/etc. When everything works properly I'll do a vintage...

    1982 XJ750 Maxim Build

Thanks, and good point; If I can't find anything I'll go that route. I like this and this Neither of which have the offset mounting holes. Now to find out the width.

    1982 XJ750 Maxim Build

Well it has been a while. Since I last posted I've gotten the bike on the road, and it runs well the way I have it rejetted. Mostly rewired to my liking, just have to move the ignition and wire in the horn. The seat is complete, and I'm just waiting on a new MC/Shift lever for the cockpit. New...

    My 1973 CB750

Haven't really done much to the bike. I decided to take a little break from my XJ to paint the wheels and rear shocks black with Rustoleum Appliance epoxy. It lays nicely and is supposed to be fairly durable. We shall see, it's temporary anyway. So I'm trying to install the Mac 4-1 exhaust...

Warning Not a Cafe-Brat-tracker- Resto Mod of 98 Magna

Looks great man! May I inquire about the fin polishing on the jugs? It looks as if you polished them, then taped them off to paint. Any particular reason you didn't just sand the paint off the fins after painting? Curious, because it's something I'm about to undertake. Keep up the good work!

    I'm making a tail section

Re: I'm building a tail section What J-rod said. Got cocky after I made my seat and decided to make a battery box out of fiberglass. Those edges are tough to do.

Kawasaki Z750 E Brat Build RSA

Looks great! Care to elaborate on your ignition? You say it's like a car ignition, which leads me to believe that the first click would turn on the lights, etc, and then another turn and hold would start it like a car. Yet there's a button next to it, that I assume you press to start the...

    My 1973 CB750

Thanks canyoncarver. Thread title fixed. No DOHC for me, my other bike has me resenting anything with a step in the frame from here on out. Desert KZ: I love the paint scheme too! Not a lot planned until the other bike is painted: clip ons, rearsets, new seat and getting it dialed in is all I...

    My 1973 CB750

Fair warning: This thread will be very, very slow until the end of May when my XJ is "finished." I finally decided to slowly start work on my other bike: this 1973 CB750. I wasn't planning on touching it until my XJ was finished for the winter, (Still got a ways to go) but after working...

    1977 CB550 Caferacer build

Lookin' good! Coming from someone who is currently in the middle of building a seat from fiberglass, 18 hours is definitely not a stretch to get it looking like that! Lots of patience needed.

My XJ750 Maxim w/ CB400 Hawk Tank and Custom Seat

And before I get in trouble, yes I took off a shock and did the ratchet strap test. We are ok.

My XJ750 Maxim w/ CB400 Hawk Tank and Custom Seat

It's been a while since I've updated this, but I have made some fairly significant progress. First I mocked up the tail hoop and a cardboard seat pan. \ I hope this makes my previous seat posts a little easier to understand. I could have a.) made a flat fiberglass seat pan that mimics the...
