    1974 kz400 seat/tire conundrum

I had the same issue. I cut a hole in the seat pan and am hiding the bubble under seat foam. That was my quick solution. But I only needed an extra inch and a half. I was advised not to mess with the suspension unless I wanted an inferior finished product. There are a lot of smart guys on here...

Mine is a '78 kawasaki. I have the original title from Michigan, but didn't need it for registration in Georgia. So that's not an issue.

Re: "Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week! Oh yeah. I'd never offer what they're asking. It's cool. But it's not 1200 cool. Plus he admitted to having timing issues. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I've taken your advice and I'm cutting in to the pan. So from no load to scraping the frame I have 3.7 inches of travel for the shocks. I'll have to do some more research but if that isn't enough I'll have to extent the seat loop out another inch and cut off the crossbar and move it forward an...

Purchased some stearing stem roller bearings and bolt on moped handlebars. Thinking about going with convertinging to moped wheels and possible disk brakes since all reports on the stock drum brakes are iffy at best. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I'll have to go with stiffer shocks. I'm not 100% sure on how to go about that. But it's a work in progress. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Pictures as promised: Here's the seat loop. I still can't figure out how to rotate pictures on tinypic so i apologize for the neck strain. I also made a seat pan today. I'm especially proud of this. Now i don't have to worry about the dry rotted rubber strap from breaking and losing my...
