'73 CB250 - Doing it right this time round.

Lookin real good. Nice and clean. Great lines. You mentioned some pages back that you got the rearsets from a shop there in the UK if I recall correctly. Also that they had a couple of issues with holes or something. They look decent. Are they not genuine Yosh units? A knock off?

Well, I need to put the wheels together so I can get it sitting on its own weight, get some scale/ perspective and dial in where I want controls. I ordered the Excels in silver. My plan was to do the hubs black. But at the last minute I decided to anodize the hubs red and powdercoat the rims...

1981 Virago XV-920: First Time Build

Lookin Rad Man!! Great job on the subframe. The clutch and ignition covers look really good. I like that you spent the time to clean em up instead of just painting the entire thing black like some do- Assembled no less. ***Just noticed the subframe woes. At any rate, it does look good and do...

The muffler is a ProCircuit unit. The head/mid pipe is one of our parts we make for these conversions (CR85chassis, XR100 motor). Im sure that there are many locally that can do it, but Im sorry to say that I don't know anyone in your neck of the woods for the job.

Thanks you for the input 8ball. I don't take any comments, criticism, etc as being mean or harsh. My skin is plenty thick and although I have many years of experience and education in chassis design and fabrication, I do not, by any means, think that I have nothing left to learn. Ive always felt...

Im a huge fan of the small bore air cooled Hondas. Its fun to try to make them go fast. Although its off the original topic, I build these with (highly modded) XR100s... Your XR200 project sounds sweet!

Thanks man. I honestly haven't decided on the paint scheme yet, but I will definitely paint it. Most likely in the red/ white/ black family. Some of the suspension and other alum parts will be anodized bronze.

Thanks Paul. Now that the tail is pretty well shaped, I can start putting the structure in it, fine-tune the lines, and put a seat pan on. This will allow me to get a feel for where I want the controls. Im thinking, just by the looks of it, mid-to-rear. First test fit

Awesome. Love the white. And the stock tank is perfect on it. Good idea on the motor. Parts are gonna be much cheaper and more accessible. But, where does that put you in your $200 goal budget? ;)
