The new spindle should be here tomorrow and I was wondering if I'm able to pull the clutch and yank this thing out or do I have to crack the cases? The manual goes through the whole tear down but it seems like over kill just for the spindle. Any one have experience with this?

Looking for a gearshift spindle (24610-292-040) for a '74 CB450. If anyone has a motor sitting in pieces and would like to get rid of this part please let me know.

'74 CB450, removed the one bolt and it won't slide all the way off. It seems as though the last 1/2 inch of the shaft is bent. I don't want to damage something internally by taking a hammer to it just yet, any ideas?

Pretty much stock besides the seat and mega's to replace the rusted out stockers; it's my semi-daily beater so until the 450 gets here it's going to stay as it is.
