Here's my question: Do I need or would it make my finished part a better product if I use Gel Coat for the first layer as opposed to regular fiberglass resin?
I'd rather not spend the...

Is it possible to take apart these style mini speedo's and tach's?
I want to make the backlight red in both of them so they are the same color, as it stands, the speedo is a bluish white and the tach is a yellowish white and it just irritates me haha.
I got the opportunity to take a tour of Walt Siegl's shop today and I have to say, it was pretty mind blowing! That man is an incredible craftsman and his builds exude nothing less than pure class! Here's some pictures he let me take, hope you enjoy!
Did someone say Harley cafe?

anyone know where I might find some tank pads that are a gum or natural tan gold-ish color? Just wondering, I was hoping to get some to match my natural gum tan grips since gold is the accent color on my green tank. thanks.
I found these but not sure they're the right shape...
I wasn't sure where to post this but the question popped into my head earlier today and I was just wondering if anyone has done it or is doing it to an existing bike frame? It seems possible (with the right skills obviously) and it could look really stunning. I don't know, I was just curious to...
I have new signals and headlights and I need to figure out what wires are what. Is there a safe test that I can do to figure this out? I have an old battery that still has a charge left in it, could I use that to test them? If so, how do I do it safely so I don't blow the battery and/or the...
Hey all, I have a '79 Suzuki GS 750 that I'm working over and I was wondering if it was possible to put a set new Progressive Suspension springs (from the 12 series) on the old stock rear shocks as long as the dampeners were operating properly? It seems as though this would work but was...
So, I acquired an old CM250 that was running at the beginning of this year for $200. It is intended to be my ladies ride eventually but I really can't stand the looks of it so I'm going to see if I can take this quite undesirable & less than ideal platform and make it into something kinda cool...
I plan on eliminating the electric start on my 1979 Suzuki GS 750 and going kick start only.
should I go for a capacitor or a small dirtbike type battery? If i go capacitor, what size should I look at for a 750? same question for the battery I guess, what it the lowest a/h I should go so as to...
I was wondering if a battery like this would work after a starter delete?http://www.homesecuritystore.com/p-239-bd412-12-volt-4ah-alarm-battery.aspx
It's super cheap and I like that.
If not could someone point me towards a place to get really small batteries at a reasonable price? I am aware...
Hello everyone. I'm new to the forums and motorcycles in general but i have been lurking, loitering and taking inspiration from all of the awesome builds here and have finally decided to post up my in process GS 750 build. I didn't really know exactly where to post it since it is somewhat of a...
