I need to clean house. I bought a new bike and probably won't be building anything for a while. I just don't have the time anymore. So, I have a crap load of parts I would like to bundle together and just get rid of. Honestly guys, I don't know what some of it goes to. I have built a cl350...
2015 Ducati Scrambler. Iv'e been waiting for a bike like this to be built. The "classic" model they are going to be offering is right up my alley. Selling my TX500 and KZ650 to help fund it. Looks like the bikes (4 models) are right around $8500-$9500.

As the title states. On my 74 Yamaha TX500. I have two vm32's. The mains are 185 and pilot jet is bumped up to 140. When I shift into each gear, things are fine until the rpms hit right where you need to shift (no tach installed). So I would say around the 5000-6000 range. What happens is the...
After getting a record breaking 4-5 inches of rain yesterday. Today was a nice day to go for a ride here in my town. Riding season is starting here for us in what I call "HELL" in the summertime. Love the winters.
Last night as I got off of work, I was slowing down (around 30 mph) due to a person in front going 10 below the speed limit. The guy behind me was texting and he rear ended me. I took a 30ft ride on my back before coming to a stop. I am a Correctional Officer and was wearing my stab vest (which...
The spokes clear the caliper by a millimeter. I have already put 100+ miles on the bike without any problems. But damn! Any little flex and I eat dirt. Thinking about filing the edge of the caliper down a bit. I don't think it would hurt the integrity of it.
Thoughts?
I need to get measurements of the distance of the mounting holes. It's a long shot, but I am curious if I can mount some on a 74 TX500. They fit vm32's pretty well if I remember right.
Any ideas on how to get this piston out? This off of a 74 Yamaha tx500 front disc brake. I have two sets of these and both are stuck on the same side. I used my air compressor and blew air in it and got the one on the other side off but no go with these. Ideas? Just sucks because I got a second...
I have some misc parts off of past project bikes (1976 CB360, 1973 CL350, 1973 CL175)
Let me know what you are interested in and I will give you a fair price.
Thanks,
Jon
I have an issue with my CL350. I have been trying to get the idle speed and air mixture at the right spots. Here's the situation.
I will have the bike in neautral and have a high idle. Once I drop it in 1st gear the rpms come down and when I go to accelerate the bike almost stalls out...
I bought this the other day. I was on the hunt for over a year for a TX750 or a XS650. I ended up with a TX-500. Why? Because XS models never show up for sale out here and a TX model well, this was the first I have seen in three years.
It was like it was meant to be. Saterday morning I sold and...
I just installed new piston rings on my CL350. Got everything buttoned up and now there is no fuel getting into the left carb. Everything worked great prior to removing the engine. I have yellow clear fuel lines and can see fuel running into them up to the carbs. I unscrew the drain plug on the...
Iam adjusting the valves on my 350. The intake on both right and left went smooth. The exhaust valves I cannot get any adjustment. I can turn the adjustment screw and watch the rocker go up and down with the lobes but no drop to slip the guage in. I am follow all directs per what Clymer says...
Here's the story. I just tore the top end down to instal new rings. Now that everything is back on i cannot get the bike to start. Nothing has changed. Iam wondering if i may have put the cam shaft in wrong, cam sprocket? The bike just cranks and cranks.
Other issue i have is now when i turn...
Looks like iam going to rebuild the top end of my CL350. Gaskets are bad and i want to put new rings on. So, a few questions i have.
Is it best to replace pistons as well if replacing rings?
What size rings should I use? Im only planning to run a hone in the cylinders to clean them up. Can i use...
