This makes me damn nervous

Coast to Coast
The spokes clear the caliper by a millimeter. I have already put 100+ miles on the bike without any problems. But damn! Any little flex and I eat dirt. Thinking about filing the edge of the caliper down a bit. I don't think it would hurt the integrity of it.

Thoughts?

Yeah that would probably bother me too.
Although if the spoke hit the caliper it probably wouldn't be a big deal, it would just bounce off as theres nothing really for it to hook on.
But i agree grind away a bit just for your own sanity if nothing else ;D

Did you relace the hubs? Something doesn't look right with the spokes in the way they are seated in the hub holes. Are they OEM spokes or did you buy them aftermarket new? One other thought is it possible to mount the rotor on either side of the hub? Some hubs have one side with an offset shoulder to push the rotor further away from the spokes.

I'd check these points before modifying the caliper, there is a reason for the zero clearance you just have to find it. ???

The spokes are new as well as the rim. I think the clearance is like this due to me running a wider rim up front (2.15).

1mm is enough clearance, but just. Rim won't make a huge difference, but the bend in the outer spokes may. I'd be hesitant to grind metal off the back of the one and only front caliper. A leak there could be catastrophic. There's probably enough metal there for an extra 1mm though.

Before you do that, how well is the caliper centered on the disk. I can't tell from that picture. Ideally, the split in the caliper should be right on the disk centerline. If it's slightly offset towards the wheel I'd clean up the forks where the caliper bolts on. That will move the caliper out away from the spokes.

Thanks for the input guys. The caliper is mounted nice and clean and is centered. From what I can see, there is no way to adjust the caliper.
