I recently decided to finally work on this motorcycle. It was stored in the garage for about 3 years never having been started. I was on the verge of selling the motorcycle until I saw the same bike at a vintage motorcycle show. That motorcycle became my inspiration and with in a month it was...
I have a 1956 Royal Enfield 150cc 2 Stroke. Up until last week it was running perfect. The problem I'm having now is that it back fires. It doesn't backfire through the exhaust but through the carburetor and through the air filter. I did crank case air leak test and found a leak. I repaired it...
Thanks guys! Not sure if it's a switch problem or a something else but on the right control handle is two switches, a red toggle switch with ON in the middle and OFF on the top and bottom and a on/off switch on the bottom of the control. When the key is on the lights and everything turn on. The...
I have a Honda CB360 that I've been working on for a few months now but I can't figure out why the battery drains so quickly when the key is on the ON position but the motor isn't running. I put a volt meter on the battery and when I turn the key on the battery drains from 12v to dead in a bout...
What would cause a cylinder to not fire during idle? The left cylinder won't get as hot as the right when its in idle. After about 5 minutes I can still touch the exhaust but the right side gets really hot. When I ride the bike for about 10 minutes around the neighborhood the left cylinder is...
Today I tried adjusting my twin carburetor with a vacuum gauge. I followed the instructions on the shop manual and adjusted one carb to within 16-24 cmHg but the other carb won't adjust to within limit. It stays at 50 cmHg. Does this mean there is an air leak? Also there is smoke coming out of...
The issue I am having is when I blip the throttle on my CB 360 the RPM goes up a bit higher than normal and won't go down for 2 or 3 seconds after I release the throttle. Any reasons why this is? I just rebuilt the carburetor.
I haven't switched the plugs. If there is spark on the spark plug while push down the kick start does that mean it is firing under compression? Today I will put some fuel into the cylinder. If that doesn't work I will put some starting fluid into the carb.
I've cleaned out the carbs and...
I checked the sparks and they both have spark. I'll switch the coils tomorrow and see what happens. I was reading somewhere it might be a bad plug cap....does that make sense?
I just got my Honda CB360 up and running. I noticed that the left header was not getting hot and it was blowing cold air. The right header heated up quickly and blew out warmer air. Anyone know what the problem might be?
