I'm not really sure where to post this one. I just wanted to share my latest purchase. Last night I picked up 2 bikes with titles for $100. Not saying they are worth more but it will definitely give me something to do. First is a 1974 Yamaha TX500. Second is a 1980 Yamaha 650 Maxim.

So what's the deal? I am going to paint my rims and was wondering what your experience was with each. I have painted some smalls with the caliper paint and it seems pretty tough. Never used the appliance paint though.

I am at the stage where I need to decide the color on the lower forks. The rims will be blacked out and I have attached a pic of the bike to date. Do I buff them out? Paint them black or paint to match the frame? Let me know what you think.
I need to replace the push throttle cable on my CB360t. Is there a way to do so with the bike intacked or do I have to remove the carbs? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
