    1980 Honda CB650 - Rejetted/Pods - Sounds like a misfire when throttle is 3/4+ o

I recently added pod air filters to my 1980 Honda CB 650, with stock Keihin PD50 carbs. I increased the jet size, and it took a good bit of trial and error to get it right. I'm running 42 slows and 102 mains (stock mains are 90). I had gone as high as 120 on the mains, but that was way too...

White smoke coming from tailpipe - 1980 Honda CB 650

I recently installed pod air filters in place of the stock air box assembly. This required new main and slow jets as well. I'm also running the valve cover breather hose to a breather filter, instead of the airbox where it used to go. When I first started the bike after adding the new pods...

No spark from Ignition Coil feeding plugs 1 and 4 - 1992 Yamaha seca II XJ 600

My 1992 Yamaha XJ600 (Seca II) was not firing on all cylinders - when I would start her up, the left muffler was cold, and it was obviously much weaker. Spark plugs 1 and 4 (from coil 1) do not spark. I bought new plugs and still no spark. Should I get a new coil?

Where can I find 43-46mm velocity stacks for a 1980 Honda CB 650?

I've been looking all over and haven't found a good source for 43-46mm velocity stacks for my Honda CB 650. I was going to go with pod filters, but from what I read, the cb650 doesn't handle pods very well, but does great with velo stacks. It just appears that the specific size I need is...

How do I match pod filters with correct main jets? - 1980 Honda CB 650

I have a 1980 Honda CB 650 that I'm in the process of turning into a cafe racer. I'd like to replace the airbox with pod filters, and I'm not sure how to find the appropriate main jets to purchase as well. Any advice? Everything on it is currently stock.

1980 Honda CB 650 - Battery does not recharge when riding.

After charging my battery overnight, and making sure it is fully charged and ready to go - I'll ride for no more than 20 minutes, when the bike begins to sputter and turn off intermittently. When I check the battery, it's dead. I'm not sure how I can tell if it is a rectifier issue, or a...

1980 Honda CB650 - Battery won't recharge on the road

I have a 1980 Honda CB 650, and the battery is fairly new, but it does not hold a charge. The bike starts up great after I leave the battery on a trickle-charger over night, but after riding for a while, it'll be completely dead. I'm guessing this is an alternator issue, and I just wanted to...
