List of new...
I have one of the corbra torches. really like it. it works well on aluminum but, does take a bit of practice like everything else.
Welds steel pretty easy and doesn't use a ton of gas which is a plus. less distortion on sheet metal too since you can get a real small flame.
I think it works...
the 500T tank goes on easily. a bit longer so you will need to move the mounting point in the rear a little.
these tanks are a little hard to find and not cost a ton.
its pretty decent quality. it screws in then you push it down flush. push it down and it pops up then unscrew to take it off.. its spring loaded.
i used bronze brazing rod to install so it limited metal distortion . too much heat will distort the top of your tank.

I've done my own upholstery for myself but, not really for others. Any auto upholstery or even a furniture upholster should be able to do it for you. I make upholstery pans as well that bolt onto the main seat depending on how you think you will attach the pad..some use the snap on covers...
Hi Walrus,
Yes, it should fit over that. My cb550 still has that brace underneath as well. I actually welded a plate vertical to it to mount the taillight to underneath the cowl section.
Some little differences but, pretty much the same style,The one on my bike is fiberglass, first seat I ever made 8years ago!
here's some old pics of the seat that is on my bike...
made this seat yesterday if anyone is looking for one.. on ebay for $175.. but $15 off for DTT members. email me if interested to get discount.
Thanks!
