    Have made some progress. rear hoop is welded, tabs are as clean as they can get with the engine still in the frame. I can start the seat and get the engine out.

    The biggest (and to my belief only) difference between the 450 and 500t is the length of stroke the piston has. That affects the head, Piston and of course the crank arm. The exhaust header and the rest of the bike should be the same.
