Just picked up a 79 GS750 but i think some one has the wrong front axle on it ,it sticks out about 1 inch past the lower fork. Does any one know what length the axle is? I can't find the length any place. All spacers are there, brake is on right, nothing is bent ,just the axle is too long. If...

I am having trouble with the rotor (charging system ) on my xs the damn thing keeps going out this is the third one! windings keep breaking. every thing else looks good.has any one ever had this happen to them ? motor is not stock putting out 70 hp ideas any one, or am i just getting crappy...
