Go to your local hobbyshop and get you some ALCLAD paint. If they don't have have it, get it online. It is a paint that buffs up to a killer shine, and comes in several different metals. A close second would be Testor's Metallizer line of paint.

Here in Virginia, It has to be even with the rear axle or behind, and illuminated at night. This is due to all the squids on sportbikes mounting their plate on the inner fender in front of the tire.
