I probably have 2-3 hours in it. The hardest part was the fiberglassing and that was because of how messy it is.

Just used contact cement.

Thanks guys! I got the vinyl from JoAnn's fabric. Was looking for Emu, but all they had was tan/brown. It would of looked good with the paint scheme I am thinking of doing, but I decided to go with black in case I change schemes.

Well after getting two quotes to upholster my seat for $200, I decided to try it my self. I have about $35 into right now. Just need to decide on cushion and vinyl. Finished up shaping the seat pan that I fiberglassed. Not sure if I am going to keep the back or just cut it off and do a flat...

Well I finally got the pan trimmed up. Now I just need to decide if I am keeping the back on or if I am just going to cut it off and go with just a pad.

I would channel the bottom of your seat so it sits on the rails more or even over them.

Got the seat pan fiberglassed up. Now it is time to get some padding and vinyl. Going to try this on my own. Any suggestions on foam?

Thinking about my lighting situation. Has anybody used the brake and turn led light strips? This is what I want to do for brake/running and turn signals.

The more I look at it and think about, it probably would be best just to do a seat pan and cover. Not sure I can get it to look right by adding FG.

I was also thinking of making a seat pan that would go over the tank mount.

I have a FG seat that I need to add to. Is there any issue with that? I think it has filler on it, seat is from slipstream, should I sand that out first? I need to fill the gap between seat and rear tank mount.

I will be using plasti dip on mine.

Re: 72 CL350 Cafe Build, No Hurray Played around with photo editor. Trying to decide which base color to use. Still a good ways from this point, but I can dream that I am to this point.

Re: 72 CL350 Cafe Build, No Hurray Got the rails extended. Now it is time to get ready to paint the frame. Also going to take it to the upholster guy this week to see about getting seat made that will cover my gap.
