Searching for a decent set of CB/CL175 Forks or even just the tubes. Mine are pretty pitted in the travel area. Maybe even a set off a cb200 if someone has those? Slim pickings right now on Ebay.... Most are pitted worse than mine. Shipping would be to 15220. Thanks, B

Must be different in Pittsburgh then, the one local shop quoted me about $150 just to strip the hoops! Then I still would of paid to get them coated. The powdercoater I went to said he had no trouble blasting through the chrome and took about 45 minutes for both. Like I said, $100 out the door...

I just went through this for my 175 hoops. I was going to paint them myself but after looking at process to get the paint to bite to the chrome I opted to have them powder coated. I tore them down and dropped off the hoops to a small shop. I them in hand 2 days later with a nice semi-gloss black...

If you help me figure out how to wire up to my little 175 whenever she is ready, I will take it! :) I am most likely going to hit you up for a custom harness anyhow. Mine is a mess... PM me your paypal? -Bryce

I think the tool I had the closest during my tear down was an impact driver. Pair it with a rubber mallet and they help remove those 30 year untouched screws/bolts with ease (well most of the time ???). Not a bad addition to your tool box for $20-$30 for a cheap one. I used some no name brand...
