    71 honda CL100/suzuki gn125 mash up

They're still out there, just depends on how much you want to spend. I took mine out for a little drive this weekend while the weather was still nice. My foot accidently slipped off the clutch though when I was pulling out of the parking area ;D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfQmEJAQAMs

    71 honda CL100/suzuki gn125 mash up

Progress has been slow due to not having a garage and some health issues but I've made a little progress lately. I bored out the other clip on clamp and roughly hacked off the handle bar risers off the top clamp. Didn't get any pictures of them though because it wasn't very exciting. I may have...

    BMW 92' K75S - A "Flying Brick"

Hey man I just got my k75 project bike running this weekend and I wanted to see what oil filter wrench you used. I bought one from Kragen but it was too big and didn't fit through the hole in the sump. I ended up pulling the sump plate off to change it which also gave me a chance to see if there...

    250 Ninja race bike

Nice work man, very impressive. I enjoy seeing people work hard to test the upper limits of a machine when it would be easier to just upgrade to a larger machine to get the same results. Keep up the good work, looks like alot of fun.

    BMW 92' K75S - A "Flying Brick"

I ordered most of my fuel tank parts from A&S BMW parts, they weren't cheap though. http://www.ascycles.com/Illustrated_catalog2/MicroList.aspx?id=51745&catID=16&catname=Fuel_Supply

    BMW 92' K75S - A "Flying Brick"

Not sure, I didn't even check to see if it worked. As bad as the rest of the fuel system was I just figured I might as well replace it too.

    BMW 92' K75S - A "Flying Brick"

Looking good man, you're making fast progress. I just replaced the regulator and lines on my bike this last weekend but didn't know about the relocation tip, I'll have to look into that. I still haven't heard back from that guy about the parts either.

    The Volkswagen Thread

Nice thread, I think alot of people start off in old VW's because they're so easy to work on. Here's my 74 bug that was my project car while I was in the military. This was what it looked like when I got it. And some relatively recent pictures. I'm always tweaking something on it, I can't...

    71 honda CL100/suzuki gn125 mash up

The nice thing about VW's is that the motor is super easy to work on and there are a ton of aftermarket parts available. A 1776 is a great motor for daily use, plenty of power and reliable. Here's a video of the motor on the dyno. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXq3eriCq6M And one from at...

Post a pic of your latest purchase

Picked up a used tank for the K75c project I'm working. The old tank had so many holes it wasn't worth fixing it. I've never seen aluminum corrode so badly, guess that's what happens when you leave untreated gas sitting in the tank for years. Still have to replace the rest of the fuel system and...

    BMW 92' K75S - A "Flying Brick"

Hey man not sure if you were looking for any parts still but I found a local guy who is parting out a 92 S model. I picked up the tank for my project but he still had alot parts available. I'm in San Francisco, so shipping is a variable. Let me know if there is anything you would interested in...

    71 honda CL100/suzuki gn125 mash up

looking good Cafe, you're body looks much cleaner than mine. Mine is orginally from Kansas so there is a little body rot. The motor is a bored and stroked 2026, heads, cam, h beam rods and weber 44's. It made 120 hp & 135 ft/lb torque on an engine dyno and I run mid to low 15's in the quarter...

    71 honda CL100/suzuki gn125 mash up

Nice, mine is a 74 standard. It was my project car when I was in the military and I spent many hours and paychecks putting it together. It was already painted when I got the car so I'm not sure what the exact color is but I'm assuming it is some kind of british racing green. It's not a very good...

    71 honda CL100/suzuki gn125 mash up

I'm still in the process of looking for a new house with a garage so no real updates but I did figure out what I'm going to use for a headlight. My dad had given me a old headlight off some motorcycle he used to have when he was younger and I turned it into a fog light for my bug. I swapped the...

    BMW 92' K75S - A "Flying Brick"

Not sure if you've seen this but I found a really long thread about flying bricks on advrider.com that has a bunch of pictures and info in it. I haven't made it all the way through yet but I've already found some good stuff. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=657248

    BMW 92' K75S - A "Flying Brick"

I like the last one, very mad maxish but it seems like it lost most of the touring aspect. The first one and the gloss black one seem to be nice spirited tourers. I like the high front fender on the first one as well, combine that with the tires it has a nice dual sport look going.

the RaZoR - move along, nothing to see here!

Re: the RaZoR - shiny (not)! Nah it's not that crazy. I do alot of hand polishing too and it is much more satisfying. Most machines (dremel, die grinder, bench grinder, buffer) I've used have spun too fast and doesn't give the same finish as doing it by hand. Are you going to coat them with...

    BMW 92' K75S - A "Flying Brick"

Sucks to hear about the saddlebag. I don't have the key for the saddlebags on mine so I can't even get them off if I wanted to. I might have to drill out the lock or see if there is a key code on them so I can order new ones. I like the look of these bikes without the bags but they are just so...

    BMW 92' K75S - A "Flying Brick"

Looks great man, I like the belly pans that come on the S models. I'm working on mistreated k75 project right now too, '86 k75c. The gas had been sitting in the tank so long that all the internal steel components rusted out and the aluminum tank actually corroded holes all the way through. I...
