no real reason here other than opportunity... both options are available locally.
1981 cm400 tubes (same fork tube diameter)
1984 cb650sc front end (Larger diameter tubes, dual disc, same steering stem bearing size)
is the brake set up on either of these options worth the effort?
Took a look inside the headlight bucket to rewire my turn signals. There are three unconnected female ends, a brown wire, a green ground wire, and a black wire leading to a four way female connector with nothing connected to it. They're all coming from the main harness, not the controls. Anyone...
Looking for a turn/tail combo for my new cb350f. Found a few Honda options, want to keep it simple. Like what's on the cb650 and cb900. Any suggestions?
74 cb125 with an 80 cb125 front end.
using a 2.75x18 tire on the front, which is the correct size but it's a dualsport so more tread. the 74 fender does not leave enough room... the mounts look identical, are the '80 mounts lower, or is it just the bulkier tire messing up the fit? I was...
I have it *working*, but i don't think i've tied up all the loose ends. Lots of information out there, but I want to nail it all down and publish a more comprehensive DIY when I'm done.
I have a '74 cb125S1. My stator is from a cb350. Reg/rec from a cm400.
Diagrams available here...
picked up a 3ohm dynatek coil in a parts bin... didn't know what it was, i just need a 12v coil. Will this toast my bike? Does anyone know the rating of the stock coil?
a long time ago i bought a one piece cb125 head with oversized valves from a member here. what would i need to do to a stock engine to utilize this head?
my friend pulled a 70's era 350 stator and tried to pop it on my 74 cb125... a fit i've seen referenced in multiple places. he said the crankshafts are different sizes. Anyone know definitively which 12v honda stators bolt into the small 6v bikes?
Contemplating picking up a cl100 in a box and using the front end on my cb125... may also use the exhaust. Does anyone want the rest? Not looking to make money, if someone wants the frame/motor we can split the cost or something. Just don't have room to store the bike for parts.

I have an incomplete fork (for mech disc) on my cb125. Looking for a replacement or upgrade. The xl100 swap is common, but I would need the front wheel too.
To illustrate how little I know, I went to swap the controls from my old bars to the new ones and discovered the built in throttle on the cb125.
I ordered a new throttle tube and figured I'd chop off the throttle bits on the original controls and just bump them up against the new throttle...
cl350 wheelset just popped up on craigslist. i've seen all the threads and heard about how notoriously bad the cb125 front mechanical disc is. Should I pick up the cl350 front drum for future use? Or is finding a compatible hydraulic caliper and making a bracket the better route?
