You lucky dog! I've been looking for an SS with spoked rims at a fair price for a long time. Nice find. Been a fan of that bike since I found a pic of one that sold on ebay, that had been cafe'd. Those bikes have serious potential.

If you have brazed you'll have no problem and if you have ever sweat copper that's even better. As it turns out, there is a special flux for working with steel. I did't know this, wich explains why my previous attempts at soldering steel using plumbing flux failed ::) An old timer told me I had...

I stopped at a buddies shop and measured some hubs this afternoon. Automatics are the same diameter, so it looks like that rim/spoke combo will work ;)

Yes, as long as you are mating it to a K hub. Not sure about automatics. What bike specifically?

The bends in your frame look real good. Is that a kit or did you DIY. Gussets and welds look pro. You do good work.

Found some time over the weekend to fill some divits in the tank that I will be using on this project. First time using lead. Largest dent was 3"dia. x 1" deep. Very easy to work with and the resulting visual effect should go well with the ratty finish I have planned for this build ;)

Re: 360 bobber/Brat new tires update Yep! I thought I had seen that bike before over at Honda Twins. I had no idea why it had made an impression on me. Apparently there was something to like about it ;)............and I agree, that suspension is sketchy.

Only progress as of late is gathering all of the major parts that make up the profile of the bike........... tank, wheel, headlight, seat,fender etc. I'm atleast halfway there, then I will be on to cutting , bending and welding. I'm trying a different approach this time around. My goal right now...

Here are the pics of the Cycraft helmets. The gold one appears to be very similar in construction to my AF-40's. I kinda dig the groovy pin-stripe work someone else did . I think I'm going to paint the half helmet black with silver stripes. I paid a dollar for each and both had to be re-lined...

Yep, hard tailing it. Close to the one I built last year (see pic). I think I will shoot for the same design, only 1 or 2 inches shorter, minus forward pegs and jockey shift. I might try superbike or drag bars on this one. Maybe even a 21" front wheel.

Can anyone give me some background or history for Cycraft helmets? I found two of them at garage sales over the summer and think they look cool as hell. One is a half helmet and the other is a 3/4. Both dated 1966. I can add pics later if needed.
