so the collector on my 78 750 k to me seems to be really close to the sump.i dont want wrapped pipes,but i really dont want to boil the oil.did the search and came up with not much.

when removing the factory peg set up ive discovered that the lower motor mount bolt is too long.what have you guys been doing to fix the length?sat in the garage and stared at it for long enough to convince myself i could trim and re- thread it.

it seems that any upper will work there are just variances in length. you guys are the only ones i can trust for a straight answer.
