1973 TX650: Bringing back the dead!

did a bit of work yesterday, had the swingarm removed and cleaned up. And finally, those plastic bushings were just something I wouldnt trust on my bike, so out they came! Look how crappy they were, lots of play there, bronze bushings are on the way... I did a bit of cleaning on the frame as...

'75 Yamaha XS500 Cafe Project - Open Throttle

Re: 1975 Yamaha XS500B Cafe Project (TX500) well, I have to say that Candy red/silver metallic combo looks awesome! But you really have to go with the candy red I think and not a simple solid red, you need the deep shine of the candy with the silver! dont know much about car paint, but it may...

'75 Yamaha XS500 Cafe Project - Open Throttle

Re: 1975 Yamaha XS500B Cafe Project (TX500) great built on the way! I like the way you did the engine, super clean and that extra chrome bling make some accents on bike as a whole. I'd do the black and red as well, as it will compliment the black hubs...

KZ1000st Cafe redone swingarm and yet another thread

Awesome built! It really inspired me for my next build, who will be a KZ750 radical streetfighter. I really like the work you done on the monoshock. How about a little youtube video to hear the roar coming out of those pipes???

    Mine 1980 XS650

Nice to see another XS over here! I like the look with clip ons and light mount. I heard that handling improves a bunch with bronze swingarm bushings... may be worth a look at yours...

1973 TX650: Bringing back the dead!

Hey xulf, Dont worry I've been keeping an eye on your built for some time, haha! I really dig that seat you made, I think there will be a copy of it on a bike in Canada real soon! The whole engine in now in piece and out for rebuilt by an retired yamaha mechanic (I'm lucky as hell)...

1973 TX650: Bringing back the dead!

Hi everybody! New guy here, I've been riding motorcycles since I was a kid and never got the time and space to do a complete build. Now the time has come as recently found a TX650 1973 severely beaten in the back of a coworker's barn... The bike was in very very bad shape: front caliper...
