Hi. My 73CL350 has been away for the winter. My wife said the gargage smells like gas. I look at the scooter and there's a big puddle under it. My daughter (5) was sitting on it (stepping on it to sit on it) last night.
I checked the tank, no leaks visible (I had sealed last summer)
I...
I finally have the clip-ons on my CL350. With the stock scrambler bars off, all the cables are way too long.
Any suggestions on where to pick up custom length cables?
(I tried the search function w/ little success).
thanks, Brad

Hi, i found a 1 7/8 speedo at MikeXS.net, but I'm still looking for a 1 7/8" mechanical tach (20:3 or 7:1) for a CL350. Mike's has a 1 7/8" Mechanical Tach, but it's a different ratio for the Yama's.
Does anyone know if this is avail and if so where to get it?
(Dime City only has 2 1/2")...
It's not mine, but i wanted to share as I've been diligently paging through the pics.

First, had to ez-out the screw in the front wheel for the speedo.
Today, stripped the screw for the tachometer.
I know a vague question: Am I doing something wrong? Using the correct #2 Phillips driver, a craftsman.
Thanks,
Brad
Hi,
Put my clipons on this weekend. I took all wiring apart when I took off the forks. Turn signals were working fine before my changes. I removed the front signals, so I'm only running my rears.
When I turn the left or right turn signal on, it lights up both rear turn signals steady.
I...
Hi, i'm finishing up putting clip-ons on my 73CL350. I picked up TTR clip-ons, which are basically solid aluminum, so I need to run external wiring.
My question: I see folks notching out the controls to run external wiring. Has anybody drilled a hole (3/8"?) in the bottom of the control and...
Keeping the silly questions coming:
I'm working on putting clip-ons on my 73 CL350. Scrambler handlebars are off, front wheel is off. Front shocks are pretty rusty under the "headlight ears". wd40'd up the front shocks. Still stuck pretty solid.
Any suggestions on breaking them free from...
Hi, i think I know the answer, but playing safe since the screw is stuck and I need to grab an impact wrench.
To remove the speedo cable from the front wheel on a 73CL350, do I simply unscrew screw next to speedo cable (see photo) and then pull out cable?
Thanks, Brad
First, i need to say that moving to clipons from the orig scrambler handlebars is no small task. I'm still trying to figure out how the heck i'm going to get the wires for left/right controls out of the handlebars. i've read wd40 and pull, but it's daunting.
My real question for this topic...
Hi. I haven't dug a lot, but looking for guidance on where to start.
My electric start worked fine a month ago. No major changes other than I drained the battery and had to use the kick start to get it going. Ever since I've had to use the kick start. No turn over what so ever w/ the...
Saw this while surfing. I'm not associated w/ seller. Parts alone might make it worth $750?

Hi, i'm looking to drop my 73CL350 a couple inches. Plan on going shorter shocks in the back, from 12.5" eye-eye to 11-11.5" eye-eye, and then raise the forks through the tree in front.
Any suggestions on where to get reasonable priced shocks for back? Do i need to drop the $ on progressives...
Hi, not sure if the right place to post, but since there's a "how to post pics using photobucket" under this section, thought I'd add a comment on using a mobile app. I was looking to reply to the "how to post", but it appears locked to replies.
I'm not great at keeping my camera w/ me and...
