how come I keep stripping screws?

First, had to ez-out the screw in the front wheel for the speedo.
Today, stripped the screw for the tachometer.

I know a vague question: Am I doing something wrong? Using the correct #2 Phillips driver, a craftsman.

Do you mean stripping threads or rounding out head?

Get a good impact driver and shock them.
They are JIS so #2 or #3 Phillips doesn't fit properly

Thanks, rounding out the head. I bought a cheapo impact driver from menards. i'm guessing they sell the same unit at harbor freight. might need to upgrade. I had to google JIS as i hadn't heard that before.
