I am working on a friends cl350 and I am trying to adjust the points but there is absolutely no marker on the stator to adjust them, has anyone else had this problem?
Does anyone know of any ways to make your own fuel filter. I know they are cheap but my petcock and carb inlet are so close together that i am unable to fit any fuel filters. It always crimps the line or has some weird angle to it that keeps it from functioning.

Im starting to realize my inspiration is coming more from vintage racers rather than cafes. Since I didn't know too much about vintage racing the cafe style caught my eye, but now I actually want to take it out to a track.

The bolts on both sides of the crankcase covers are stuck!
They are Philips so I stripped most of them trying to break them loose.
I was able to get some loose using locking pliers but any ideas how to get the rest broken loose.
I currently have an XL 350 but this is on my local Craigslist. It comes with frame engine and wheels pretty much. Is it worth the 250? Or is it going to be way more money than its worth.
