    XS500 Copperhead

It's a bit different from the rest of the bike, which as you know, has the italian box look instead of british flowing lines. That's why I experimented with the more square hump you see earlier in the thread. Thing is i think it made the bike too boxy, so I'm gonna try this out and if it doesn't...

Great inspiration, thanks! Must say that spoke wheels is the true thing for an old school bike... Everyone is running great details on their bikes, mine's gonna be quite rough the first season. My wheels need something like one thousand hours of polishing. At least.

Made the tank angle extension the easy way: 70mm M6 bolt gives a 35mm lift..

Realized I want to lower the front. Ordered some clipons along with some other stuff from DCC. Think the hump is working rather well Going to get rid of the starter and run an 4amp battery kick-only instead. Excercise is good for you...

Need to decide on tailpiece and how to cut the frame. If i make a new one it'll fit both battery and lights.

    XS500 Copperhead

I'm happy with the support on that one... Realized when I was trying out angles on the tank that now there's room to hide a fair amount of the electrics between the tank and frame. Win! Also realized that I need to change my fork seals allthough they were "just fixed". Dammit. Almost as boring...

Welcome, Välkommen, Velkommen, Tervetuloa, Velkomin - To The Nordic Section.

As the name suggests I'm Jake from Stockholm. Currently building a cafe from a XS500, also looking for a xs650 to turn into a brat... Good initiative on DTT Nordic!

    XS500 Copperhead

Now that I've got the attention from a few of you I need your opinion... ...please look at the two first pictures in this thread: I believe that the tank have a slight negative angle which makes the XS500 look a bit "tired", thererfore my plan is to raise the back by (something like) three...

    XS500 Copperhead

Now that's just depressing... please do not expect this to be on the same level. That bike is a work of art, mine's going to be more of an alleycat.

...and then making them horizontal will make a good support for hidden electric stash. I want the frame tubing to be visible and the seat is not allowed to add any height. Will make a good butt-buster for sure!

    XS500 Copperhead

Just bought someone elses flattracker-dream, which I believe is not the right look for the XS500 since the engine is a little to bulky. Turning it into a cafe on the other hand will make it quite nifty. This will be a garage-diy-build with whatever I´ve got on the shelves involved. I reccon that...

    another one...

Hello, Jake from Sweden here. Been building stuff for a few years now but stumbled upon this forum just recently. The experience does not mean that I'm any good at it, actually I kinda suck... Love italian and english bikes, but currently I'm starting a café build on a XS500 which I'm starting...
