Gotta finish the forks to get it back into finished roller and upload some more pics

Been a while since my last update.. Life got in the way! Anyhow, I finally painted the frame, swingarm and wheels. I don't have a finished pic of both wheels but the one included shows a before/after when I stripped and painted..

Oddly enough, when I removed the factory air box there was no filter in there.. My assumption was the PO must've had the carbs rejetted or something. I haven't put many miles on the bike yet because I finished it right before winter struck so I'm not positive it's 100% dialed in.. And...

Re: Sin City CM400 Cafe Racer Looking really nice! Have you done a mock-up with the chain on the sprockets? The rear looks like it might hit the swingarm . Or are you using some kind of chain guide? Or maybe its just the angle of the pic? Lol

Small update: In process of painting the frame and wheels. Frame is gonna be a gloss black and the wheels will be all silver with a semi-polished lip. Also starting the polishing of the forks and some other bits. Pics to follow.. I've been tossing around some ideas in my head on overall paint...

Gorgeous bike! Minimalist and clean.. My gf told me I need to get a bike she can ride on with me, life is rough, lol.. This is the direction I wanna take though!

Got the rear sets mounted up and got the bike back into a roller.. The riding position is super comfortable!! Taking it all back apart and hoping to paint the frame and swingarm next week.. I'll probably have to cut away a little bit of the seat over the rear tire, then I'll smooth the tank...

I think the rear peg braces you needed are from a CB450 Euro spec.. Not 100% positive though

I guess I should've been more specific.. I was wondering if there were a set of carbs from another model bike that could essentially bolt on.. I know Mikuni has VM 30's that would work but I'm trying to avoid spending $350+ on a new set of.carbs.

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find a thread with an answer.. In any event, what carbs if any are interchangeable with the CM400T?? Something that can be re-jetted, etc.. The Keihin CV's on my bike are non-adjustable and a nightmare to shim or the like.. Thanks in...

Re: 1981 Honda CM400T - Freebie!! Well, I used Schedule 40 pipe which has thicker walls than the framing that was removed.. I'm not concerned with that, but I am considering a few triangular braces where some pieces are welded together ..Need some more material though.

Re: 1981 Honda CM400T - Freebie!! Well, as suggested, I created a new rear sub frame.. Here's what I came up with.. Obviously, I have to clean up the welds still, but I was beat after I got it this far.

Re: 1981 Honda CM400T - Freebie!! Both look great!! I think I would have to take the direction of the red one more so because of the dip in my seat. Any idea how far past parallel you are on the swing arm on either? If you look at some of.my earlier mockups, notice the longer shocks on the...
