Latest of the saga: since it's the 15th I called the shop before going to retrieve the fenders. Both phone numbers are disconnected. Drove to the shop, empty and gone. Neighbor business says he moved across the alley but looking in the window of that place, it was closed, it's a...

Finally got thru to Warren. Now he says the fenders will be back on March 15th. Any bets the fenders come back dentless, re-chromed and a bill?
BBB complaint is filed.
Oregon DOJ complaint is filed. Oregon doesn't have a separate bureaucracy for Consumer Affairs, just the Attorney...
NO, this isn't a recommendation. In fact stay as far away as possible.
In looking for a chrome shop locally there are a couple of choices, one that looks like it's ready for OSHA and a Haz Mat team to shut it down and JB'S which has some negative reviews.
So on Feb 9th I ran down there to talk...
This is a post from another forum. Before you complain I've already talked with Sonreir and he said it should be fine to do this
On the Hondatwins.net forum we're selling t-shirts to support the build and running of a CB175 turbocharged to set the record straight at Bonneville this year. Current...
I'm looking for this particular tank. It's a one year/model item. It is different than the T2 and A models. Fairly easy to tell the difference: more rounded, tank surface rises at the steering neck area and the Honda badge holes are 64mm center to center. Minor dents may be ok but please no...
Use a heat gun on the gasket and a razor blade or Xacto knife. Be very careful not to gouge the surface. Don't use a wire wheel or anything similar since the surface has to be perfectly flat.
It's not uncommon to see this on these engines, it was run low on oil at some point. Plasti-guage the journals and if you're under .003" you'll be ok. Just polish the cam journals before assembly
I can't really say just how impressed I am with Zeke's and your progress. To think this all started with Zeke wanting to know a little bit about motorcycles and how they work. WOW is the best word and very inadequate
The boots do look identical at first glance. But do the manual boots mate to the automatic head properly? That mating area inside is referred to as the throat. There has to be a smooth transition from the insulator to the head
I order them from my local dealer. They even honor the online Honda parts pricing from sites like this one http://www.servicehondapsn.com/fiche_select1.asp?cat=Motorcycles&mfg=Honda
Yes the VB24 carbs used on the A model are smaller both in the throat fit to the boot and the venturi sizing, 28mm.
Do the insulators that you bought physically match up with the head as far a bolt spacing and throat mating? If so then I see no problem in changing to the VB22 carbs which are...
The 'Vinmoto' picture of the CL has the later (1972) left side cover which allows air filter access w/o removing the exhaust. Also that picture doesn't show the support brace coming up from the swing arm bolt
The ID of the primary pipes coming off the head should be equal size or just barely larger that the ID of the exhaust port. Too large allows the exhaust gas column to slow down causing the same effect as restricting the exhaust.
The primary pipe length need to be tuned to the exhaust cam duration
I'm not thrilled with this gasket set. Yes, everything is there and it all fits correctly. The problem is the head gasket. It's clearly marked on the surface as being 1.5mm, actually measures at 1.6mm. The OEM Honda gasket is 1.1mm. Doesn't sound like much but that roughly .020" thicker which...
This may help http://hondatwins.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=24687
as for stock carbs and information read this http://hondatwins.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=22566
Primary pipes should be roughly 1 size larger than the exhaust port. In this case the port is @1.2" so you would use 1 3/8" ID tubing. Honda's double wall pipe is actually 1.1" ID on the inner pipe. Primary pipe length for these engine is 33.25" measured from the valve stem to the end of the...
