What's the best advice you have heard...

500 years from now, nobody's going to now the difference. That was the best. Next best was if you can get up and walk away it's all good.

Just For Fun --- How OLD Are You?

There is a guy I know who lived wild and partied hard because none of the men in his family lived past 50. Tremendous family history of heart issues so he figured no reason to try to avoid it...just have a good time, have the big one and adios. Well he had a massive heart attack at 46...

Just For Fun --- How OLD Are You?

I'm 65 and recently had my first heart attack. Put a serious crimp on my riding for a bit. As far as oldest, so far as I know it is hoofhearted in his early 70s.

    CB350 Hole in Piston?

I agree with teaser. Especially if this is a bike you might keep for awhile. With a rebuilt motor you know what you've got.

    Full face or open face?

It's been full face ever since my unfortunate meeting with the side of a car back in 1970. Back then the only full face helmet available was the original Bell Star, but I went to that and never went back.

    I'll just leave this here...

Over the years I had a lot of really bright young people who worked for me. Also had a few, thankfully a very few who were not bright enough to understand how little they knew. Good to know that there is a name for that.

Hybrid bikes - Tricati, Ducda, Grumph, etc.

Not sure if I'll get it done before I wind up in a nursing home, but on my one workbench now is an H2 kaw motor sitting in a featherbed frame. Parts from two completely different cultures.

    best riding jeans?

I'm not an atgatter, but at my age (mid 60s) I should be. Just remember one thing I learned in an emergency room in the early seventies. The biggest lie in the English language is not, "The check's in the mail." It's not, I'll still respect you." It is, "There will be some discomfort."...

And now for something completely different...

If I'm thinking correctly he campaigned a three engined Trident a few years after this bike.

What's the farthest you've ever pushed a bike?

3 am on a sunday morning i was on my way home on my first bike, a 350 Bridgestone. I was slowing to make the turn from a state route onto a county road and seized a piston. Eight miles from home....and it started to rain. I pushed it the whole way home. Some level, some downhill, but a fair...

Cafe Racer TV: Mike Seate - What is he talking about?

I hate to admit I read the thing, but I opened this months issue of Cafe Racer magazine and on page six, Mr. Seate writes under the heading Best Ignoring of Facts, "A tie between the famously navel-gazing British motorcycle press and U.S. industry mag Motorcycle Product News for conveniently...
