I made my own washer and had the same problem, but I was able to locate a factory washer. I haven't had a chance to put it in yet due to the bike being at the upholstery shop, but from what you're saying I think I might just order an OE rear cover gasket as well.
I'm having a hard time following I guess. From what I can tell, once everything has been reinstalled, that lever shouldn't be able to move in and out but only rotate. However I did try to order that washer but they said its no longer available. Any idea as to how thick it might be? Oh, and...
Can I just use any washer that fits? As for the other 2, I don't take all that stuff loose when I changed the stator. Does that mean I did something wrong?
I actually don't have it. It wasn't there when I opened it up. Is it really that important since the shifter peg lever (or whatever you call it) will lock it in place?
I'm in the middle of replacing my stator with a Rick's motorsport stator. I'm pretty much done but I got to wondering about the 3 yellow wires that connect to the rectifier.
My question is, does it matter what position the leads are placed in the terminal?
on the stand
off the stand.
I don't know if that helps any.
I would like to lower it an inch but I'm unsure about what's already been done. I was told the forks were swapped and the rear shocks measure 12.5"
I know this is a noob question but that's exactly what I am ;). I need to know the factory rear shock length for a 78 cx500 standard. The ones that were on there when I bought it measure 12.5" eye to eye, but I'm sure they're not stock.
