Going from 16" to 18" rear Comstar wheel?

So I was thinking about possibly swapping out the rear 16" wheel on my 78 CB400 tii with an 18" to have it match up to the front. I found out that some bikes (not sure which though) had an 18" rear Comstar on the rear. Does anyone know from which bikes this swap is possible from? I found this...

From Comstars to spoked wheels (CB400)

The rear looks to be shaft driven so I don't think it'll work. Plus big $$$$

They're removable though and I don't mind having holes, I just don't want the molded in mounts getting in the way and whatnot.

Cb400 And cm450 Parts for sale

As far as I know they came with both a stamped steel (which I have) or an aluminum one depending on the model variation. Or I might be wrong and searching for something doesn't even exist??

    CB400 Hawk I, II, what's the difference?

Sounds about right, thanks chicken. And yea these things are a bit awkward for sure haha but it's my first bike so I'd like to hang onto it. I'm about to throw this thing on the operating table though so it hopefully should be a cool little machine once I'm all done.

    CB400 Hawk I, II, what's the difference?

I was told by the previous owner that my bike was a Hawk II so I out of curiosity I wanted to see what a Hawk I was and not only do they look the same but all the specs are dead on AND they were built for the same years. I thought the II might have been a successor model or something but it's...

Official tank swap thread; what fits on what

I wanted to get a sticky started to help those wanting to use a different tank from what came stock on their bikes. Direct bolt ons to major modding needed, post up here what has been a "confirmed" swap. Pics would be great also. *Mods please delete if there already is a thread like this one...
