New guy from NY: Question inside.

Thanks for the reply! I've been eyeing this thread at work like a hawk, lol I tell you man, the main issue for me is time/space. My old gig in NY offered me time, and my apartment offered me space to really dig into the project to get it to where its at now. Now, both my time and space are...

Hey guys, just moved to Orange County from New York. I've been on this forum for a bit, but mainly lurking around. Here's the scoot as she currently sits: 1974 cb450k7 with a budget garage cafe build. This leads me to a pretty serious question for all you Southern CA guys; about a month...

1974 CB450K7, stock Keihen carbs. NEED TUNING HELP :)

Re: 1974 CB450K7, stock Keihen carbs. NEED PILOT JET HELP. I'm at work so I don't have the bike or wiring diagram near me. What would those connect usually? It's highly possible that I have them disconnected right now but I can't be sure. If they are in fact disconnected, should I just connect...

1974 CB450K7, stock Keihen carbs. NEED TUNING HELP :)

Re: 1974 CB450K7, stock Keihen carbs. NEED PILOT JET HELP. HuGE HELP. It threw me off because it was the 'plug' that had the '38' marking on it. The pilot jet itself SHOULD be the right size based on my research but that is incrdibly helpful in pinpointing the proper pilot if need be. I've...

1974 CB450K7, stock Keihen carbs. NEED TUNING HELP :)

Re: 1974 CB450K7, stock Keihen carbs. NEED PILOT JET HELP. To a certain extent it does, and thanks for the help guys. 3 more questions... 1)the stock 38 pilot jet, should it have a hole in the top of it as the main jet does, or just a pin hole on the threaded side with 2 holes at the end of...

1974 CB450K7, stock Keihen carbs. NEED TUNING HELP :)

With my current bike breathing better, I am searching around for a new pilot jet with limited luck. It seems as if my pilot is a 2 piece jet, and I was wondering if anyone with experience can better speak to this or point me in the proper direction or etailer. Stock is a 38 pilot jet, and like...

    New From Buffalo

I wasn't liking how i wrapped it towards the copper end and I felt like the metal ties looked like shit too. I cut the wrap back to the band clamp and cut the copper tip down. I like it much better this way.

I finished the shift linkage 100% and wrapped the exhaust. Copper tips and sleeved linkages really make it pop. Just waiting on parts now:tdown:

LOL, now that's the truth, haha. Truthfully though, there's a bunch of super rad bikes being built around here. Mines pretty 'cookie cutter' compared to some of the awesome fab work and builds coming out of buff right now.

    New From Buffalo

Absolutely. I was just working on it at the time and I had them zip tied on, lol. I need to shorten the shift side about 1/2 an inch and I haven't even sorted out the brake side yet as the rear tire isn't back on for good until this sprocket comes in! Thanks dude, yeah it's still thawing out...

    New From Buffalo

Lot's of Buffalo love I see. lol. The other night i rejetted the carbs and slapped them on, buttoned up the wiring, routed the clutch and throttle cables, and fired the bike on starter fluid for a quick sec. She wanted to go in a bad way on the 2nd kick! This LED taillight/ plate light is...
