i feel your pain. im working on making mounts for GSXR rear sets on my 1974 CB125S cafe racer. the bike is smaller then a cb175. the passanger pegs were mounted on the swingarm.
the stock pegs mounted on a bracket that bolted to the bottom of the engine. im coming off the main frame and back...

im going to be using a late modle suzuki GSXR600 reg/rec. I think i can get 12v out of the stator if i get it rewound. The bettery is nothing new to me. I been around late modle sportbikes for about 5 years now. and have raced my GSXR600. well passed the ton. more like the ton .5 lol max i seen...

heres some pics. this person replyed to an ad i put on the internet. and It was a great deal. i couldnt pass up. its a very nice but rough bike that i can restore into a nice honda Cb125 cafe bike. and enjoy for years to come.
going to try to make a Lifan 12 volt system work. since their engine is a copy of the honda. it should work. might have to custom make brackets or something i'll findout more when i get the parts. if it works i'll post fo others to see.

1974 CB125S, runs ok with 6volt setup. but I want to upgrade to 12volt so i can run a dyna IGNITION booster, and mini coil to get a very hot spark. also i need to be able to power my late modle suzuki bandit headlight, and LED tail/brake light and led turn signals.
i dont think 6volt will do it...
