Has anyone on the threads had experience using rear-sets on smaller CB's... I have a 200 but im sure a 175 (same frame?) or something in that size range would be similar. Im questioning because recently I have found a decent amount of rear-sets on ebay for fairly cheap but im not sure how fabrications would work being that they all come from newer larger bikes. What have you used on your smaller bike? I realize avoiding fabrication is not an option and im ok with that, just looking for what may work best on a CB200? THANKS!
I'm doing a cb175 and I was going to use the passenger peg mounting points.
.
I may have to re-think this though to get the bike registered as I was planning on having the shift as GP style but I dont think that will get through the inspection.
im prob not going to attempt a rearset anytime soon. that will prob be my last project on this bike if at all. after much thought i would like the option of riding a passenger, though i guess i could mount some custom passenger pegs.
i feel your pain. im working on making mounts for GSXR rear sets on my 1974 CB125S cafe racer. the bike is smaller then a cb175. the passanger pegs were mounted on the swingarm.
the stock pegs mounted on a bracket that bolted to the bottom of the engine. im coming off the main frame and back. my rearsets would be next to the swing arm mounting bolt. to i have to be able to remove the rearsets to remove my swingarm bolt to grease and maintain my swingarm pivot point.

i can't say i'm familiar with your RWC system in NSW, but i'm planning on getting a contact from a friend for a 'friendly' inspector, someone who doesn't sweat the small stuff. besides which, these bikes are so old, that i'm not sure that most of the inspectors know which way would be stock.
