    78 CB750 Sprocket Bolt Question

78 Cb750 uses a single bolt and washer to hold the front sprocket on. Does anyone know what the size/pitch of that bolt? thanks!

    CB Engine Swap

I have verified that the 78s shaft that sprocket goes on is definitely different than the shaft on the 73 motor. As in the 78s looks shorter and doesn't stick out from motor as far. So I am assuming something must be done about this. Anyone ran into this before?

    CB Engine Swap

Hey folks. So I have a 73 CB750 and a 78 CB750 parts bike. My 73s motor is in rough shape, has some cracks and has been dropped, ect. The 78s motor is visually in better condition. I am wanting to rebuild and swap in the motor from the 78 into the 73 bike. From what I can see they look...

So I have 78 cb750 motor that is in much better shape than whats in my 73, on account of my bike being dropped years ago. I have heard that "some things" need to be changed in order to put the 78 in the 73. Can anyone elaborate on what is needed to be changed or modified for the swap to work...

Hi there. My name is Jordan. I am from Alberta, Canada. Been working on cars for years but new to the bike world, excited to see what comes of it. This is my 73 CB750 I just picked up a few weeks ago. It leaks oil and needs carb work but its been fun riding so far. The current state is...
