Kick start stop broke in case! Common problem made worse by going to kick only with extra compression. “Fixed” it by removing kick shaft from case and blocking it off. Now electric start only, so I had to add all that back. I also re welded the pipe to make it look better and not drag in...

Need to re-do the exhaust as I had the wrong guy do it. So now to do it myself, the “right” way. Hop to have her on the road this summer. Sent from my iPhone using DO THE TON

Good news the bike now runs and I'm very happy with the motor! It's super strong, the extra 28cc, bump in compression are really noticeable. I still have a lot of tuning to do to get it dialed in, like timing and getting the vm32 carbs fine tuned. Bad news is that the guy who built my exhaust...

Little progress on exhaust, I think I have the muffler where I want it. Next step is to turn my 2 into 2 head pipes into a two into 1. All the necessary tubing and collector are in stock, just need to get time to fit and tack into place. On the fence about gas welding the finish welds myself or...

Thanks Popeye! I had a lot of life slow this project, but I love building and wrenching nearly as much as riding so no quitting, it's too much fun playing with these old bikes. Got a '51 Triumph on deck, will be nice to have a rider while I'm wrenching on the next one.

Thanks SF, it's been a long time coming and still got work left to do, but nice to see it looking like a motorcycle again. On the fork brace there is plenty of clearance for the width of the tire and a little more than 1/4" between the top of the tire and the bottom of the brace. Should be...

Electronics tray is sheet metal I bent up using a vise and some hand tools. Then I riveted the corners together nonthing fancy, but functional. I used existing frame parts to run some screws through for mounting. Here is a photo that shows the tray well. I have since center sunk the screw...
