I recently used Jrb Custom Powder Coating, 1940 Ellesmere Scarborough, ON M1H 2V6, (416) 438-3000 for a single part.
I wanted flat black and he said if I could wait a few days they would do it with the next set of car rims. When I told them it would be subject to heat, they said they would do...
Hi, doing this first time for a friend. From the manuals it would seem to me that the central shaft (terminates on a striker and has a spring) that slides inside the adjuster should be able to slide all the way out the top of the adjuster if it was compressed on the spring. The manual states it...
other bands that I think might busk outside:
the Villanos used to play the Dice regularly and dont need AC, and Catl are a good time.
I'll mention the event to Zane. The Dice really doesnt shift food so wont hurt their bottom line.
The mounting points (male and female) for the 750 tank are exact opposite the 650. On a 650 forum I posted an additional pick if you scroll down that shows how I solved it. I took a bunch of pictures, if you are going to do it send me your email address and I will send them to you. I didnt want...
I had a great time the last two years, and I was at the mods and rockers ride before that. If I can make one suggestion. I'm a big fan of the Dice (its a short stumble from my house) but it is very small. Last couple of years it plays out that the inside is packed with about 30 people who are...
I did not have a great experience at Mayfair. I did at the Plating House. I'm guessing the size of part is the issue. It needs a large tank and a lot of voltage. Would look pretty amazing plated - as everything does. But in this case is power coating a good compromise as the frame is less...
Over the winter I had an XS750 tank chromed for my XS650. Really happy with the 15L tank. The fuel taps are universal harley parts.
I heard getting it chromed would be expensive (~700) so went for the cheap option of polishing. THought I would clear coat if afterwards. So I took it to this...
I've used ModBro a few times and I am really happy with his work. Nothing is standard on my machines so I've been relying on his fabricating skills lately. Last thing he did for me was modify a gas tank. I put a xs750 tank on a xs650. Required making new fixing points out of tabs of steel...
If it helps, as soon as I got back from finishing my M exit test I wrote down the exactly what I had to do to pass (got a perfect score). I took it at Humber and if you have the extra cash it was a good way to go. You spend a day going over what is on the test and the next day taking the test. I...
I just got my rear sets in the mail today. Look really good. Glad I made the purchase.
Thinking when I get some spare cash I will ask you to make an instrument mount for me.
Tx again

Re: XS 650 cafe resto-mod
I've got a "77 xs I am going to start doing when its bearable in my unheated garage. I was wondering what you are planning on doing.
Lesson I learned the hard way is that different manufacturers of paint can react to each other. So primer, main coat, and clear should all be the same company, or at least have the paint shop tell you they are all compatible. Secondly, go down to bare metal if you can. I did this job last year...
