Gtam's got a thread like this but it's largely outdated.

The list usually goes like this:

Safeties and general work
-cyclewerx
-rosey toes

Parts
-flying squirrel

custom fabs/paint
-shit out of luck

storage
-anybody but envy rides

I'm interested in back alley. What's the story there? Did Dutra buy the shop from the motorcyclist?

As for paint, the best I've seen are guys out in the country that advertise their personal shed for paint work. I'm not sure about any shops in the city that claim to do professional work besides that chopper shop on dixie.

I can do custom machining, and some welding. Ive got a mill, lathe, surface grinder rotary table, a crap load of tooling, tig welde, sheet metal roller, etc
I Also have an exallent method for plastic repair for abs and smc plastic (cleaner inside from the plastic welding ive seen). Im from the oshawa courtice area. Throughthegears@hotmail.com

There is a motorcycle shop/garage in the Junction north in a back alley north of Dundas east of Keele I think...is this the 'back alley' ? Walked past it on a sunday, anyone know anything about it?

Yes, Paul and Vinnie took over the space that the Motorcyclist was in.

Owned and run by an old school Harley guy.

MOD BROS offers everything from custom work, fabrication, tune-ups etc on vintage motor bikes or scooters. Glen's got 20's under his belt, is licensed....AND can do safety's. woohooo!

http://www.modbro.com/

btw, he makes runs to Toronto frequently, so he's able to pick up bikes etc.....you will probably find him most thursday at the dice as well.

Known Glen for 20 years. solid guy....solid work.

Amazing thread, keep it coming. I will try and add some this week. I know that loco leon is in the area and should be able to help with the list.

Great stuff!

I've used ModBro a few times and I am really happy with his work. Nothing is standard on my machines so I've been relying on his fabricating skills lately. Last thing he did for me was modify a gas tank. I put a xs750 tank on a xs650. Required making new fixing points out of tabs of steel doglegged and welded at an angle. No regular kind of shop is going to do that for you.
