13mm MC on GS650G

The old front master cylinder on my GS was worn and the screws on top were stripped out. Admittedly, I rushed into buying a new MC and bought an $80 13mm from PartsNMore.com. Shortly after the part shipped, I read the description on the part which said the 13mm was recomended for single disc brakes (larger for dual disc, which the GS has).

I read this only means that my front brake will be a little tight, but I wanted to know if anyone had experience with this. Are their any true dangers running a smaller MC on a dual disc brake?

You may not be able to get the brake to have much force. You will likely run out of lever travel before you have a full application.

The diameter of the MC determines the volume of brake fluid moved. With a smaller MC, you will not move enough brake fluid.

Get the right one, sell the one you have, or return it if possible.

I returned and ordred the right one. Good thing I didnt start a brake bleed!
