Coast to Coast
Lookee what showed up last week: a 1966 Sears SV175 split single, also called by some a "twingle". Made by Puch in Austria, sold in the Simpsons Sears catalogue in Canada and Sears in the States.
2532 miles on it and needs pistons and probably a rebore; it looks like the previous owner forgot the premix, one time. Was sitting in a barn for decades, just the way you see it.
The plan is to rebuild the motor, but keep as much of the original patina as we can. All of the parts I need are readily available in the U.S.A. with the exception of the pistons, which I may have to get in Europe.
Enjoy the photos.
