1969 CL350: NEED HELP ADJUSTING

Jared

...Try the morphine, it's excellent today!
Well guys I just finished my wiring today and I managed to get some fat blue sparks from one of my NGk's but the problem is that it was firing on the exhaust stroke instead of the compression. So how do I set my points? Oh and one more thing how should I set my rocker arms? Thanks -Jared

Okay, how should I set them? is the gap closed at tdc? because if I can do this tonight I will have a runner tomorrow! Oh and the rocker arms I set them with barely any slack like almost none when they were at TDC. For both cylinders.

Unfortunatly no. My online one got deleted when I had to replace my hard drive

You're going to need a manual. When you set the rocker arms did you use a feeler gauge? They need to be set to a certain gap, not by feel, and have to be set at a particular stroke. You'll need feeler gauge to set the ignition timing as well.

If you don't have a manual, head over to http://www.hondatwins.net and poke around. I'm sure there are some PDF versions over there.

Will have to look it up to see what the recommended setting is but most are going to be around .004 and .006, .004 being the intake sides and .006 on the exhausts, most all engines will run a little larger gap on the exhaust side as there is more heat and the metal will expand more than what the intakes will. Are you running points or electronic ignition and if electronic are you using single or dual fire as one will fire at top dead center on both the intake and exhausts stroke.

Oh sick thanks man on the rockers! and I am running points electronic ignition isnt in my 16 year old budget just yet.

Jared... Please buy a manual. Or download another one. Please. It will make your life SO much easier.

Look for one, and Im sure youll find it. And I believe someone earlier told you where one could be found as well.
