Been Around the Block
I recently picked this bike up with the end goal of restoring it. Unfortunately, my wife wasn't fond of the idea. She says I have too may projects currently (03 rc51, 74 cb400f cafe, 76 cb750 chop). I picked this bike up from a guy really down on his luck. He had owned the bike since the 80's and was getting kicked out of his house. He had alot of his belonging in the house and he couldn't find the title. The bike hadn't been registered since 1999. He told me he parked the bike due to, to many close calls with Phoenix drivers. He had swapped the exhaust to cb450 exhaust and drained the gas when he parked it. I've run the vin and it's clear.
The bike is unmolested (outside of the exhaust) and is very complete. It is just missing the front brake cable and lever and one tank emblem. It even has the original steering damper on the triple stem! All I have done with the bike is wash it and put some penetrating oil in the spark plug holes. The motor is currently stuck. I was going to rebuild the top end on the bike. I will provide a bill of sale with the bike.
