Hey Guys,

I posted in introductions awhile ago. I picked up this 1970 CB350 for $350.00 bucks from a guy in San Francisco that drives around in a Snap-On like tool truck picking up bikes out of state, and then re-selling them in CA based out of SF. I was told this bike sat in a barn for the last 30 years. Here's how I got the new girl. One dollar per cc.

Anyways...............

The motor turned over and everything was there. Great starting point to build a cafe bike for my girlfriend.

Within a couple of hours, I got the girl to start and idle. Sweet deal, motor is good.

Time to tear this girl down.

Looks like a little cleanup is in order. Nice work so far. Hopefully your girlfriend is as excited as mine was when we picked up her project.

So...........

Typical stuff going on. Getting ready to send parts out for media blasting. Started polishing bits. Sourcing parts, ect.....

Got a sweet deal on a near perfect Yamaha XS750 tank.

Also scored a sweet CB160 headlight bucket. Planning on sinking some mini gauges or a modern LED gauge cluster into it where the stock gauge was located.

I'm not liking the stamped rear portion of the frame, so I'm going to chop that off and splice in a rear tube frame section and fab up new shock mounts.

No clean up here. Full tear down and complete re-build. But yeah..... I hear you, she has seen better days!

My girl currently does not have a bike, but rides........... She is really excited that I am build her a bike, even before I build one for myself.

So lagging on progress as is life. Got the tank mounted and the forks cleaned up and installed with a set of All Balls bearings. Slow going.
