I used industrial strenght velcro on my seat. put it on the frame rails and pressed the seat on... let it set up for a day. removed the seat, and went around the edges of the velcro inside the seat base with some gell superglue... works great, just if i ever toss it on a trailer i will pull the seat off. other than that it is fine!

Velcro?! Really? to attach the seat to the frame? I trust you Joe, I might have to give that a try.

Gage,

Where'd you get that Tail light? that's exactly what I'm looking for.

Re: 1970 CB450 build - Now named Isabella

think about it... you only really need something on there to hold the seat when the bike is parked... i do not truely understand why all the crazy creations for a seat come about... when it just needs a bit of help to stay on there in the wind, other than that your ass will be parked on it. do not get me wrong i have really loved some of the creations that people havec ome up with... but to me. some heavy duty velcro will do the trick on my seat, granted mine is also hand made and shaped to my bike... so it fits a bit snug as it is

wow, looking nice. This is just my preference, but I like the emblem farther forward on the tank. On stock tanks the emblems are always towards the top and front. While yours is towards the front of the overall tank, its towards the rear of the non indented part, if that makes sense.

When you're right your right. I'll try moving them forward a bit and see how they look.

Got the tail light from ebay:

Works great and is easy to wire

Thanks for the compliments guys. It's a lot of fun to ride and it gets lots of looks.
I'm still gonna build CF front and rear fenders. Fix the shitty paint on the tank. Then put the tank up for sale once I build a CF one. CF engine side covers and longer rear shocks.

Really nice work. Bike looks fantastic! i agree about the wings on the tank but i can live with it ;) I'm loving it bud. Just enough silver on the bike to break it up some. Sweeeeet looking scoot you got there!

Soooo freakin awesome. Really nice CF work.

Switched from dual disc to drum. I'm officially renaming this bike "Piston killer" Just slapped in the third piston last night. Hopefully it will do better this time.

Went on a ride out east to our cabin. Got there 9 hours later and had to ride in 30 degree weather for two hours. Never thought I'd be happy to get off from a bike.

Finally got a commercial sewing machine and made my first seat cover. Kinda rough but not too bad for my first one. Now I'm glad they forced me to take home ec in middle school.

My new fuel cell design. Damn I hate ethanol.

Liked the looks of the front drum a bit better. Doesn't stop as good anymore (makes it more exciting) but the front end is much lighter now. Not sure if it will fit. I know the 450 and 750 front ends were pretty much interchangeable but don't know much about the 350F

Lighter with the drum you say? Hmmm... interesting. Anyway, lookin' sharp out there GWC, very nice ride.

PS: What sort of jetting you running for ethanol?

Thanks boingk
Much lighter than two 1/4 inch stainless discs out front. Woulda helped if I drilled them but that would be a little too modern looking for me. Not running pure ethanol if that's what you mean. We have mandatory 10% ethanol in our fuel here in Oregon. And Roccity was right, two years of ethanol gas in fiberglass will kill it. That's why I switched to fuel cells. Open pipes and K&N filters I'm running 160 mains.
