i think you might be just a tad high on your asking price...this isn't fantasy land. The 350 is the most common honda there is. They aren't hard to find, they aren't rare and they aren't special. That being said, you've added some nice upgrades to the bike, but that doesn't mean a bike that sold for less than $900 brand spankin' new is not worth more than 10x that. I wish you luck with the sale, but frankly i think the price you are asking is highway robbery.

I agree....you have done a very nice job on the bike..... but you would be lucky to get half of your asking price. If you get your full asking price then let me know because then I will put my 77' CB550 up for $15,000!!

nice bike! glws

how much was the 520 kit from henning?

might get him to do some work on my 450t motor.

cheers,
Kelvin

10k Firm?! I hope you get as much as you can, so you can buy a shirt!!! HAHA!

In all seriousness, it looks and sounds amazing. When does riding season ends in Canada? It seems like the Spring would be the time to ask 10K at the beginning of the season.

Man, If you can get 10K in Canada, We will all be bringing cb350's up there and sell them for 8K!

If I was to sell my XS650, I'd be asking a similar amount of money. While I might not get it, if you sat down and documented the cost of doing up a bike like this, it would quickly ramp up towards the 5 figure mark. This is assuming that most/all the machine/welding/paint etc. work is farmed out.

Professionally rebuilding a motor (i.e. paying a shop to do it):

$100 boring/honing 2 cylinders
$200 for a proper head job - possibly new valve guides etc.
$100 for gaskets/seals
$100 for misc parts - cam chain, guides, etc.
$250 for good pistons/rings
$200 to bead blast, clean-up, paint cases/jugs
$800 for ~10 hours labor to break down / reassemble engine

So you're into $1750 to have your engine rebuilt, more or less, if you're paying to have it done. Keep moving along through the bike and you'll be up there in no time. Most of us just spread it out over months/years, do a lot of the work ourselves, and try not to add it up :)

I dunno about $10Gs. For that money I'd expect aluminum rims and stainless spokes, plated in 24K gold. For the same money or less in Ontario, you can buy a show quality restored Bonneville of Commando.

Funny, That's almost the same stuff I've got into my bike. Never thought it'd be worth 10 G's though. How are the 32 vm's working for you?

They're only worth what someone is willing to pay for them, not what we ask :)

Who cares what he asks for it. He can ask whatever he wants. If he sells it, great. If not, then it is priced too high. Apparently some people think they're the price police on this site. It's worth whatever it sells for.

I was curious about this as well. I know 32's didn't work on my stock 350 but i wonder how it runs after the rebuild.

I can't say for certain, but considering they didn't work on an over bored cb360, i can't imagine that its very well.

Hope I'm not screwed with the 32's. I'm getting a 750 Ninja and a 500 Interceptor next week though that I can put them on I guess.
