1971 BSA Lightning a65 cafe bike. Built by Triumphs on Broadway in Henderson NC. This beautiful cafe features a custom retro paint scheme with heavy candy flake. New Continental tires, new brakes shoes, electronic ignition, plus new progressive shocks and springs. Brand new Amal carbs and a new gas tank. Has clubman bars and vintage gauges.

The Builder is Danny Hugging of Triumphs on Broadway, located in Hendersonville NC. Danny is an award winning builder of British bikes, and did a masterful job assembling this BSA. Any questions about the bike that I cannot answer, Danny has offered to take care of. Send any questions to myself or Danny.

The bike does not leak fluids. Danny Huggins at Triumphs on Broadway did an excellent job building the bike. The seals are tight, the engine is tight, and it cranks on the second or third kick after tickling the new Amal carbs.

Historical information from Wikipedia:

"The BSA Lightning was designed as the all-round sports machine of the 1960s,[5] planned largely for export to the US market [6] to complement the touring Thunderbolt and the later development, the supersports Spitfire. Development of the engine aimed to make it more reliable, quieter and less prone to oil leaks, with top speed sacrificed to improve mid-range and rideability. Nevertheless, with twin carburettors the A65L could still reach 108 mph (174 km/h).

A close ratio gearbox combined with a high lift camshaft made for lively acceleration and performance at higher rpm than the standard A65."
