1971 CL450 build. (not fancy, but complete...)

thanks for the compliments!

the exhaust is from BCR -Benjie's Cafe Racers.

ive tried my hand at pipe bending before and realized quickly, that anything over a single cylinder -and getting it to not look like cr@p- was beyond my supply of talent.

the finished exhaust -like all of them- required a little massaging and trimming (see exhaust flanges), but overall is a really quality item. not whisper quiet, not 'wake-up-the-neighbors' when your rolling home past midnight.

just right.

Long time with no posts, but... Just wanted to let you (and anyone following) know that I put this bike back up for BOTM! I think she needs another shot at the banner ;)

wow. once again, I feel honored.

I thought I might've had a hope last time... but who has a chance when your competition cnc's his OWN FRAME(!)

yeah, that was kinda unreal. My little project- was just a father, son, a whole bunch of sanding, polishing, fitting and thinking.

I'm happy you seemed to enjoy it too!

we recently sorted some things and will try to get some new pics up and possibly re-fire this thread to show what it takes to get a project rolling with everyday use. I/we were kinda burnt after the electrical gremlins- but we've revisited it and its now a daily driver.

thank you again. more shortly.

Sounds good! Can't wait to see some more of it. It didn't make it in to this month's round but I'll be putting it up for March!
