1972 CB175 cafe build.. its name Carnage Asada!

Thanks guys, Trying to find a bolt without having to go through honda for the bottom of the fork. the bolt i have has a head that is about 2mm too tall, and wont allow the axle to slide through. The search is still on

Look here. May be able to find what you need. They have brass bushings I'm going to get for my swingarm

I dig the color scheme so far. Any thoughts on what you're going to do with the tank? Black and lime to go with the wheels?

Thanks for the tip on that Metal Rescue stuff too.

Thanks for checking out the build rattpunk. I'm not one hundred percent on the tank design yet. So far I think the tank will be a flat black, or maybe a satin black color, with a green pinstriping, and " CARNAGE ASADA " on both sides. That's what the plan is.... but this build has changed directions about 5 times now.

I'm digging this build. The frame color looks amazing. I think the outside pics makes it looks best. Also I vote satin if that's the route you choose. Flat is primer, satin is sex....end discussion lol.

Thanks. "Satin is sex".. ;D. Gunna have to remember that one! so far the triples and wheels are satin, so i'm sure it carry over to the tank and other pieces.

The carnage asada lettering will be silver leafed. I will be my first attempt at it. hopefully it's as easy as youtube videos make it.

So work has been crazy busy, but a lot of talking to jakester189 and and our ultimate goal of running speed week next year to break the records for our cc's. 175cc is 99 mph. Which seems low and extremely achievable. A bit of back story, our step mom lost the battle with cancer earlier this year. After the funeral, jakester (my brother), my dad, his friend and myself where thinking of what we could do of some significance that we could do in her memory. Our dad has always been a speed freak, ever since i can remember every weekend in the summer we always watched drag racing and talked about going fast. The Fastest Indian is one of his favorite movies, so we decided to build on that and do it our version for Teresa. In the past months, jakester and I have been trying to think of all the things we could do to pull every bit of power out of the bikes to OWN the record. I'm not sure if it's been done or attempted but i'm flipping the head 180 degrees so the exhaust comes out the back and the intake is in the front. It would act as a natural forced induction. I've drawn pictures and spent a lot of hours at night while i should be asleep thinking of how i could make it work. Beings they pistons move up and down at the same time firing should be exactly 180 different, so switching plug wires and adjust the points should make it fire like it would regularly. Any feedback about if its been attempted or why it could or couldnt work would be appreciated. As far as progress, the forks are build, just need paint, and then im very close to having a roller.

Yea....sorry for your loss. I have a cb100 and am very interested in this build.

The engine is seized though.

Hang in there, looking forward to more updates.

This is Joeyputt's company,he advertises on this site and (Joeyputt is his call name on this site) he's got an RD 350 build going on right now but he's also done a reverse-port head Honda 4 banger on this site as well. I would contact him, Joey is a class act and a master of his craft. BTW 99 mph is not too awful bad if it's Bonneville? Salt Lake is at altitude you know?
Cheers, 50gary

Been a while, forks are ready to stab on the bike, here is a mock up of the exhaust. Gunna do the 180 degree flip on the head, so the exhaust comes out the back. just a mock up
