front bearings were straight forward, then I realised I needed a tool for the bearing retainer on the drive side of the rear hub, made one up out of a scrap piece of angle and an old 3/16 double end drill bit and some quick chook shit welds, ;D see pics,
Tanks looking nice with the dents you did a good job with the bondo too, i'm sure i get fed up with all the sanding too easily
what sort of colour you going to hit it up in? rattle or professional, theres a great thread for rattle can jobs on here planning on doing the same!
Thanks for the comments guys, not all the blast media is out of the tank yet, (will flush properly when applting the liner kit.)
I used glass beads, (too slack to change the media in my cabinet,) this is better for alloy parts, but it worked well and didn't pit the surface at all and just took a little longer, Reo fill is just the name the brand (motospray) give it I think, it's a fibreglass reinforced bodyfiller. As for the paint I am leaning towards metallic brown with some cream pin striping, have had good results with rattle cans before as long as you take your time and do all the necessary wet rubs and use prep wash and tack cloths there is no reason you can't get a quality finish, as I have a few spray guns and a compressor I will do it that way, I wouldn't say a professional job, more like a backyarder hoping for a professional finish.
Sounds like a good combo! Theres a build thread I found on here a while back with the same sort of combo it turned out great I seem to remember him doing a rattle job also, its all in the prep in my view.
coming aling well keep up the work man!
